NMDC is the story of a co-operative which would have died, rose like a phoenix and became the lifeblood of a nation of North Malabar District Co-operative Supply & Marketing Society. There is only one reason for that rise,It is the action taken by the management and employees with the best conviction to survive and the decision to change with the times.
It is a group that was born and organized for the cause of the coffee farmers. When the coffee plantations and farmers were left behind to survive, the lights went out in this group too. It was a time when even the department decided to close down. Five years without a general meeting, without a governing body, without any budget presentation or budget approval. These five years since 2004 have been a lesson. Lessons learned to become a force for further growth of NMDC.
